Megan:
I’d describe my role at South Gippsland Water as being quite diverse, and it’s actually really evolved a lot since I first started.

A certain component of that is being out in the field, and taking our water quality samples.

Jack:
My role at here at South Gippsland Water is a Water Treatment Plant Operator, and I’ve been doing it for about two and a half years now.

I applied for a role at South Gippsland Water for a new challenge, something different, and also to stay local as well, because I love the area.

Megan:
I think the opportunities that this traineeship offer a young woman is a real foot in the door to the water industry, and you can learn so much – you’re not just stuck in the office, you’re out in the field quite a lot, and you have the ability to interact with other staff, and learn a lot from their experiences.

Bryan:
So I’m the manager of Water Treatment and Water Quality. Working with us at South Gippsland Water will provide a young person the opportunity to gain a qualification, to get valuable experience in the water industry, and really set themselves onto an exciting new career.
