Rainfall And Storage Update

Rainfall was recorded at South Gippsland Water’s storages from 1st April to 8th April 2016. Lance Creek 25mm, Ruby Creek 24mm, Coalition Creek 27mm, Deep Creek 13mm, Little Bass 26mm and Battery Creek 10mm.

Even with this welcome, but brief, period of rainfall, the storages for Leongatha, Poowong, Loch, Nyora and Battery Creek have dropped. Stage 2 water restrictions continue to apply to South Gippsland Water customers in Fish Creek, Korumburra, Poowong, Loch and Nyora.

The Corporation will continue to closely monitor water storages and river flow over the coming weeks.

Information regarding Permanent Water Saving Rules (which apply across the region) and Stage 2 “SAVE” Water Restrictions (Fish Creek, Korumburra, Poowong, Loch and Nyora) can be found at www.sgwater.com.au or contact South Gippsland Water on 1300 851 636 with questions or concerns regarding smarter water usage.
