South Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Philippe du Plessis said that our reservoirs and creeks remain at good levels.
“Lance Creek Reservoir, which services Korumburra, Poowong, Loch, Nyora, Wonthaggi, Inverloch and Cape Paterson, is at 98 per cent and Ruby Creek, which services Leongatha is at 85 per cent. Deep Creek which services Foster is at 100 per cent and Battery Creek, which services Fish Creek is at 100 per cent,” he said.
“Water capacity levels remain at near full or full levels after another week of steady rainfall. Even so, we need to remember that Victorian Permanent Water Saving rules still apply. Always remember to water your gardens between 6pm and 10am, sweep and not hose down pathways and driveways, and install trigger nozzles on all outside hoses.”
