Storage and Rainfall Update
Monday, February 5th, 2018
Rainfall recorded at South Gippsland Water’s storages from 26th January 2018 – 2nd February 2018 was Lance Creek 18mm, Ruby Creek 24mm, Coalition Creek 22mm, Deep Creek 18mm, Little Bass 23mm and Battery Creek 23mm.
Ravi Raveendran, General Manager Operations for South Gippsland Water said, “Korumburra and Poowong’s storages continue to decline to levels that requires close monitoring by South Gippsland Water. All other systems continue to decline, however, remain at satisfactory levels for this stage of the season”.
Customers are requested to ensure they are following the Permanent Water Saving Rules which are in place all year. The top three rules to remember are;
1) Water during the cool – Between 6pm and 10am.
2) Sweep, don’t hose – Hosing hard surfaces such as paths and driveways is not permitted.
3) Install trigger nozzles – All outdoor hoses are required to be leak free and fitted with trigger nozzles”.
