Over the past eighteen months, South Gippsland Water has been upgrading Inverloch’s Sewer Pump Station (SPS) systems situated at Veronica Street and Meanderri Drive. This endeavour is an integral component of our $10 million sewer upgrades initiative aimed at ensuring the efficiency and sustainability of our vital assets.
South Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Robert Murphy announced that the final stages of the Inverloch SPS works are drawing to a close, marking a significant milestone in enhancing the community’s sewerage infrastructure.
“With most of the construction now complete, we are turning our attention to the next crucial phase: the restoration of the surrounding landscape. In collaboration with the Bass Coast Council and Inverloch’s Melaleuca Nursery, we are embarking on the planning for revegetation.
“Our landscape designers have come up with two options to best foster biodiversity, attract indigenous wildlife and celebrate native vegetation.
“Your input is invaluable to us as we strive to select the most suitable revegetation plan for Veronica Street. We invite you to participate in our short survey and lend your insights and preferences. Together, we can ensure that the rejuvenation of this area aligns with the aspirations and needs of our community,” Mr. Murphy said.
Please take the time to review the proposed options and share your feedback with us. Your contributions will help shape the final design and contribute to the long-term sustainability and ecological integrity of our beloved Inverloch neighbourhood. Please follow the QR code or visit sgwater.com.au.
