Our ISO® 14001 certified Environmental Management System (EMS) embodies South Gippsland Water’s commitment to responsible environmental management and remains an integral part of managing our environmental responsibilities.

The role of our EMS is to identify, manage and reduce impacts on the environment from our activities. Some key areas of the EMS include:  

  • Identify and manage environmental risks and opportunities 
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements 
  • Continually improve our environmental performance 
  • Engage staff and contractors to uphold high environmental standards 

The Environment and Sustainability Policy is at the heart of our EMS and defines our commitment to protecting the environment, meeting our legislative requirements and adapting to climate change.  

Through regular audits, training and reporting we maintain a strong culture of environmental stewardship across all areas of our business.
