Storage and Rainfall Update

Monday, December 17th, 2018

Rainfall recorded at South Gippsland Water’s storages from 8th – 14th December 2018 was Lance Creek 20mm, Ruby Creek 17mm, Deep Creek 12mm and Battery Creek 4mm.

South Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Philippe du Plessis said, “Last Thursday South Gippsland Water switched over supply to Poowong, Loch and Nyora from the Lance Creek Water Connection. This saw one of the last major milestones achieved in the project some six months ahead of schedule and means that as summer heats up, these towns now have a secure water supply”.

“Rainfall was recorded across all catchments last week, with storages sitting at satisfactory levels as we head into 2019. A reminder to customers that our offices will be closed from midday Monday 24th December and re-open 8.30am on Wednesday 2nd January 2019. Our 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, faults and service line will operate through-out the holiday period 1300 851 636”.
