Storage and Rainfall Update
Monday, July 2nd, 2018
Rainfall recorded at South Gippsland Water’s storages from 23rd – 29th June 2018 was Lance Creek 8mm, Ruby Creek 1mm, Coalition Creek 3mm, Deep Creek 0mm, Little Bass 3mm and Battery Creek 5mm.
South Gippsland Water’s Managing Director, Philippe du Plessis said “A relatively dry week saw catchments remain steady. Previous rain has ensured that catchments are still well saturated, awaiting further rainfall and run-off in coming weeks.”
“Coalition Creek (Korumburra) and Ruby Creek (Leongatha), while experiencing good inflows during June, remain well below full capacity at 54 percent and 56 percent, respectively”.
All customers are reminded to ensure that they are following either the Permanent Water Saving Rules (which apply to all Victorians) or Stage 3 Water Restriction rules for residents of Korumburra.
